Toni: Two great entry points: ONE RECKLESS SUMMER is the first book in my Destiny series, and a top fan fave. The first scene shows heroine Jenny, having returned to her hometown to live with her father after a divorce, crossing the lake where the family cottage is located to do some star-gazing on a high promontory on the other side, which is wooded and wild. The last thing she expects to encounter in the woods is the hot, slightly scary guy she remembers from high school, Mick Brody. Nor does she expect him to seduce her. Nor does she expect to discover he has a really huge secret and now he’s expecting her to help him keep it. She’s not sure whether to fear him … or fall for him. THE ONE WHO STAYS is the first book in my Summer Island trilogy, and all three of these books are very near and dear to my heart. Summer Island is a fictional island near Mackinac Island in the Great Lakes region where life moves a little slower. I always describe the trilogy as: Bicycles, Lighthouses, and Love Triangles. In THE ONE WHO STAYS, Meg runs the Summerbrook Inn, which she inherited from her grandmother. She’s in love with Zach, a Great Lakes fisherman who loves her back but won’t commit, and his work keeps him away for months at a time. Meg wants more than the life she’s living and she’s ready to put the inn on the market and seek a more mainstream existence – when a mysterious stranger enters her life. Seth is a handyman she employs to help fix up the inn – and he might just fix up her heart at the same time. But Seth clearly has secrets, so can Meg trust him?
