This week LUV is spotlighting author, Maggie Wells. Maggie is a hybrid author of 45 published works and has written Women’s Fiction, Erotic Romance, Contemporary Romance, and Romantic Suspense. Over the course of the last decade, she has worked with small presses, Kensington, Sourcebooks, and is currently working on her second series with Harlequin Intrigue. LUV: What is the best thing about being a romance writer? How is it challenging? Maggie: Hope! Romance is a genre built on hope. Even when things are at their darkest, a romance reader can trust that the writer is going to make it right. Sometimes, this is also the biggest challenge as a writer. There have been a few stories I’ve stopped writing because I didn’t feel I could adequately redeem a character or rebuild trust in the possibility of happily ever after.
