Part #4 of our chat with STEM romance author @JoiJ LUV: What is your favorite romance comfort read and watch? Joi: Comfort watch, hands down, is a Hallmark Christmas movie. My husband rolls his eyes because I tend to watch either true crime shows or Hallmark. There's really no in-between…LOL. There's a lot of comfort in knowing that the movie will end with that single kiss and the couple will overcome whatever challenge they're facing for their happily ever after. I like to get under my favorite Snoopy blanket (Big Peanuts fan growing up! And Home Goods carries a good variety of Snoopy throws. So dangerous…) and watch all holiday season. My current favorites are Holiday for Heroes and Marry Me At Christmas. My comfort read is pretty much any Beverly Jenkins novel. She writes historical romances, small town sweet romances and contemporary romantic suspense. They are all wonderful but her historicals are my favorites. The way she's able to tell a feel-good story and weave in aspects of American Reconstruction history is a masterclass in romance.
