"A Merry Quest for Two" #christmasromance #pitch Full one-pager or screenplay available on request! Logline: When her innkeeper boss is injured for the holidays, wallflower Lindsey must take charge of the inn and its annual Christmas mystery game, only to be embroiled in a mystery, and romance, of her own. Summary: As long as she can stay behind the scenes, Lindsey Rollins loves her job at the Jubilee Inn, but when her boss hurts her ankle just before Christmas, Lindsey must step up to assist the guests. Not least among her responsibilities is leading this year’s annual Christmas mystery game, the Quest for the Angels’ Gift. As she shepherds the game along, Lindsey meets a myriad of guests, including handsome cartoonist Neil. She is also surprised to discover an additional clue that isn’t part of the game—a red envelope that invites her on her own mysterious adventure. With responsibilities pressing on her, Lindsey initially resists. But with Neil’s urging, she solves the first clue and uncovers a jigsaw puzzle left just for her. Lindsey and Neil work on the puzzle, only to discover that they are many pieces short. They decide to follow the clues to find the missing puzzle pieces, complete the picture, and solve the mystery. What results is a dual treasure hunt, with the guests chasing down the angels’ gift, and Lindsey and Neil following their own clues to complete the puzzle. As Lindsey balances the competing needs for her time, she gets to know the guests and is able to step up to the challenge of managing an inn at Christmastime. Through it all, she struggles with growing feelings for Neil, held back by one rule: no fraternizing with guests. Christmas Eve arrives, and, struck by a discrepancy in Neil’s story, Lindsey makes some unhappy discoveries. Can she forgive those closest to her to finish the quest, find her prize, and embrace her own future?
