⭐️Adaptation Review ⭐ Romancing Mister Bridgerton Author: Julia Quinn Book Rating ⭐️⭐️⭐ Season 3 Rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐✨ This is the 4th book in the Bridgerton series yet the producers decided to make it the 3rd season. So far this is my FAV season of the show. It’s filled with romance, politics, drama, mystery and fashun! **SPOILERS** The book and the series are WILDLY different. The only similarities are that Pen and Colin fall in love, make out in a carriage and get married. The book really only focuses on their relationship. BUT they both share the Lady Whistledown story, but it’s a bit different. In the series it’s the Queen that puts pressure on the Ton and puts up the reward and in the book it’s Lady Danbury. The Queen doesn’t appear in the book at all. Also new in the series, Eloise knows Pen’s identity and puts a ticking clock on Pen which creates great drama and raises the stakes for Pen. In the book, Colin does find out about Pen’s identity by following her carriage and Cresida does blackmail her. BUT at Daphne’s ball (not the sisters) Colin just reveals the news to the Ton and everyone is cool. The series does a much better job at Pen owning her truth with one of the best speeches in the series! She doesn’t need her man to save her PERIOD. Benedict’s and Francesca’s love story are in the third book so their stories are obviously nixed. There is no Violet getting flirty and the tension between Eloise and Pen isn’t there either. They never have a falling out in the book. The series also adds the money troubles to Porsche and creates storylines for Pen’s two sisters. The book is really just the basic framework for the season. IMO skip the book and just enjoy the show! #QOTD - Have you watched the latest season?
