Part #3 of our chat with author Diane Billas LUV: Are you part of an author community? If yes, how did you find it and what makes it valuable to you? Dianne: Absolutely yes. I attended a writer conference in Philadelphia in 2019 and met a writer who suggested I use Twitter. And once I began using social media, I found so many writing friends. Once I became published, my publisher suggested I get involved with debut groups, and that also opened up a whole world of authors I never would have met. A day doesn’t go by where I don’t talk to one of my author friends. Their support and guidance help motivate me with my projects. I am so grateful to all of the amazing authors I’ve met. I’m actually attending https://lavendercon.com/ an LGBTQ+ book festival in DC, as a signing author at the end of June and I get to meet some of my author friends in person!
