Part #2 of our chat with author @danahawkinsauthor LUV: . Are you part of an author community? If yes, how did you find it and what makes it valuable to you? Dana: Yes! Absolutely. I will never understand how people write without the backing of a community. I started slowly meeting people through Facebook writing groups like Support for Beginning Writers. I exchanged a few pages with folks, and eventually found a critique partner, Amy Nielsen (who then eventually became an agent with Purcell). Through Amy I met S.E Reed. Then through Twitter, I started exchanging messages with authors Dana Renee Green and Jennifer Gatewood, who perfectly rounded out my writing community family. This would be a very lonely world without these women.
