Part #3 of our chat with author @Lolah Lace LUV: You have six books tentatively scheduled to be published this year, and you love to end stories on cliffhangers. Why do you love cliffhangers so much and is that why you write so quickly? Do you ever combine all the parts of a story into one volume with the traditional romance HEA? Lolah: I have a hefty schedule of books I wish (fingers-crossed) to publish this year. Because of family, health issues and my last job, I had to push a lot of my releases from 2023 to 2024. Now that I’ve recently acquired more time, I have been ambitious with the books I plan to release this year. I am currently working on the sequel to Dear Mr. Vampire, entitled My Mr. Vampire. Early in my romance writing career, I was dubbed “Queen of Cliffhangers” by some readers. I embraced that title because it really fit me and my writing style. Although a lot of readers dislike cliffhangers, there are still many readers like me that love a good cliffhanger. My love of cliffhangers stems from 80s and 90s prime-time soap opera television shows. Every episode ended with a cliffhanger. This method always shocked the viewer and had them on pin and needles until the next episode aired a week later. I loved feeling those emotions as a TV viewer. My writing style has always been an homage to that style of shock writing.
