Part #3 of our chat with author @daniavoss LUV: Are you part of an author community? If yes, how did you find it and what makes it valuable to you? Dania: Yes! I’m part of several author communities. I found them online of course. 😊 Passionate Ink is an online group of steamy/erotic romance writers. They have an active social media presence. They publish a yearly charity anthology and host a variety of writing workshops throughout the year. The group is on the smaller side right now, but is growing with the goal of hosting a yearly conference once membership is large enough. They hold morning writing sprints via Zoom which has been so beneficial for me to ensure I make steady progress writing my books. Chicago-North Romance Writers is a local writers group. Before the pandemic began, they held many in person events and workshops. Some have transitioned to Zoom video calls. Every other year they host a wonderful Spring Fling author/reader event in the Chicagoland area. They are a wonderful group of talented, supportive people. Lastly, I have to mention the Wide for the Win groups. A fabulous group of writers supporting author’s efforts to publish across multiple retailers, in addition to Amazon. The Wide for the Win folks host a Facebook 100 day writing challenge throughout the year that has been a game changer for me in conjunction with the Passionate Ink morning writing sprints.
