When she is unable to participate in yet another expensive Mom’s Night Out, Molly snaps in a moment of weakness and writes a snarky article that satirizes her particular mom nemesis. Thus the first Holiday Moms article is born, and, to Molly’s great surprise, it goes viral. Shrugging off the guilt she feels for writing about her fellow parents, Molly’s life takes a positive turn in the weeks leading up to Christmas. She writes additional articles, provides a more festive Christmas season for her daughter with the proceeds, and even volunteers at the school’s Santa breakfast, all while building a growing relationship with an old high school friend, handyman Jamie. When her daughter faces a medical crisis and faces a Christmas in the hospital, the truth finally comes out, and Molly must confront the hurt she caused and reassess her judgemental opinions. Only when she is finally able to recognize that the moms all have more in common than she thought is Molly able to connect with her community and build a complete life with Jamie and Lib.
