When dedicated social worker Cassie reluctantly heads home to spend Christmas with her aunt and sister, she doesn’t expect to walk into a very obvious set-up with a handsome neighbor, Liam. Her quiet family holiday is further upended when she and Liam are hit by a blast of Christmas magic and are transported into Jingle Bell Square, a Christmas board game that Cassie created as a child. Greeted by a cast of quirky characters, Cassie and Liam find themselves in a whimsical world where people gather to compare snow globes, warehouses are overrun with friendly Nutcracker mice, Cassie’s favorite holiday specials are always playing in the theater, and heartwarming ornaments from her late mother appear on the town Christmas tree. They discover that they must build their own Christmas spirit in order to complete the game and return home, a task that seems almost impossible with Cassie’s grinchy attitude. With Liam’s encouragement, however, Cassie throws herself into each holiday activity, working past her own emotional baggage to embrace the wonder of Jingle Bell Square. The two of them grow closer and are just about to complete the game when disaster strikes--an earthquake hits the Square and ruins the town’s planned Christmas celebration. Cassie must draw on her professional experience as well as her newfound appreciation for fun to rally the town and save Christmas.
