Part 2 of our chat with author @lucyfelthouse LUV: Can you tell us about the kind of editorial you write? What is your next book about? Lucy: I tend to write whatever comes to mind. I know some authors who have their books scheduled and lined up for months and years to come. I generally know which book I’m going to write after the one I’m working on, but that’s about it. I write what I’m passionate about, what interests me, and if that means jumping around in pairings, genres, heat levels, etc, then so be it. I’ve been writing quite a few reverse harem novels over the last few years, so it’s been interesting in my latest book to return to a more traditional male/female pairing. NOT THAT KIND OF WITCH is a contemporary romance (I know, it sounds like it should be a paranormal romance, but it’s not!) novel about a woman called Willow who, through a collection of tricky circumstances, has ended up with agoraphobia. She hasn’t left her house in four years, and has to have everything delivered. That is, until delivery driver Joe comes along. He’s been through some tough times himself, so when an opportunity to help a fellow human comes along, he jumps at it. Whether Willow will allow him to help is another matter altogether. I’ve had an absolute blast writing this book. Often my books have quite a variety of locations, with characters going on trips, vacations, adventures. So having most of the action take place within the same house has been pretty different—but hopefully I’ve risen to the challenge! The research has been fun, too. A beekeeping talk, a natural beauty workshop, a visit to a lavender farm… I just hope folks enjoy reading the book as much as I’ve enjoyed writing it!
