Harlequin Romances introduced me to so many exotic locations and the happy ever after ending. . REGENCY BUCK by Georgette Heyer introduced to me to Regency romance. THE PRINCE OF MIDNIGHT by Laura Kinsale was pivotal in my understanding of the potential of romance by focusing on the hero’s point of view and complex and complicated characters. PRIDE AND PREJUDICE, of course. I vividly recall my lab partner having the book, reading the first page and rushing to the library to get my copy. I’ve loved it and all the filmed versions. I adore Ilona Andrews’s books, particularly her Hidden Legacy series. It’s my ideal combination of strong, fascinating heroines, adventure, magic and romance. 🎞️ Fav romance film – THE SHOP AROUND THE CORNER. It’s the better and earlier version of YOU’VE GOT MAIL. It’s enemies to lovers/secret lovers set in Budapest and fleshed out with a cast of memorable characters. It’s romantic and funny. ✍️ Fav trope- I adore enemies to lovers. Pride and Prejudice.
