Part #4 of our chat with romantic suspense author, Linda O. Johnston. LUV: Many people dream about being a writer. What is the one thing you wish you had known when you started your career? Linda: That writing becomes a part of you. Or maybe I knew that from the first, since I started writing when I was in grade school, not that I ever finished that story about a girl and boy traveling the world. But as time went on, I always wrote something. My undergraduate degree is in journalism with an advertising emphasis. I worked in advertising and public relations for a while, then went to law school. I later became a transactional attorney, which meant I wrote—yes, wrote!—contracts. In fact I always said that contracts are just another form of fiction! In any case, I would tell those people who dream of becoming a writer to just do it! And if they don’t use their minds consistently to come up with plots involving things or people around them, maybe writing isn’t for them. #QOTD - Have you written for other professions?
