Part #2 of our chat with Linda O. Johnston. LUV: You write many different streams of editorial including mystery, romantic suspense, paranormal romance and more. How did this come about? What are the benefits and challenges? Linda: It just happened! I started writing stories in the various genres I enjoyed, starting with mystery short stories and time travel romances. I’ve also written other kinds of paranormal romances, including a miniseries about an undercover military unit of shapeshifters for Harlequin Nocturne, which is no longer publishing. But mysteries? Romantic suspense? Oh, yes! The benefits are that I can let my mind wander in the areas I enjoy reading best and write stories that hopefully other people enjoy too. Challenges? Well, maybe that people who read my mysteries aren’t as interested in my romantic suspense, and vice versa. And by the way, the two books being published this month are my 60th and 61st traditionally published novels!
