Part #2 of our chat with romance blogger, Leslie Murphy aka @Shereadsromancebooks LUV: You've noted the first romance book that took your breath away was “Paradise” by Judith McNaught. What was it about that book that made you fall in love with the romance genre and why do you think the genre continues to grow? Leslie: “Paradise” was definitely the first book I remember stealing off my mother’s bookshelf and it made me fall for the romance genre. I just love the idea of a happily-ever-after story, especially one that is hard-fought and Meredith and Matt definitely had their work cut out for them in this second chance romance, making the happy ending all the sweeter. With so much negativity in the news, in the world and even in social media, I think the romance genre continues to grow because people like the idea of a guaranteed happy ending. And the genre attracts so many readers because there is so much variety whether you want to read a romance about an alien or a mob boss or you just want a sweet, small town romance. There’s something for everyone no matter what mood you’re in.
