Part #3 of our chat with author @megancrane LUV: Can you tell us about the Romance Rebels Book Club. Megan: The Romance Rebels Book Club is a dream come true! Though I would have sworn such a thing would never happen… When Rebel Heart Books opened in our charming little town of Jacksonville, OR, it looked like one of those bookshops. You know the kind. They don’t carry romance and can’t wait to tell you why they’re offended, you might ask them to reconsider. And while it was true that the shop didn’t carry romance at first, it’s definitely not one of those. Fellow local romance author Maisey Yates (you can find her interview in the Articles section, January 2023) and I not only sat down with owner and all around excellent human Eileen Bobek to discuss the shop’s approach to romance, we became friends. We decided to start our book club. Now it’s been five years and we’re going strong. We moved online during the pandemic but are back to meeting in the store now, and every meeting is a delight. It’s loud, silly, poignant, interesting, and above all, fun. We talk about literally EVERYTHING. If you’re ever in town on book club night, drop by!
