A Bridezilla Christmas: Hoping to secure a vendor booth at the New York bridal show, a wedding app developer must demonstrate her last-minute upgrades. Using her phone to film vignettes, she casts herself as the bride, but with few options for the groom, she settles on a theater actor whose play she inadvertently ruined. Synopsis: Thirty-year-old Kayla is a wedding app developer with a paralyzing fear of public speaking. Hoping to secure a vendor booth at the country's most influential bridal fair, she must demonstrate her last-minute upgrades. Working with a shoestring budget, Kayla plans to create a pitch deck using her phone to film wedding vignettes. Casting herself as the bride, her friend Nicole suggests that an actor friend, Tyler, would be perfect as the groom. Kayla attends a play Tyler is currently acting in; however, things go awry, and Kayla inadvertently ruins the performance. Sparks fly between the two leaving Kayla bolting for the exit. The next day Tyler shows up at her shoe store job apologizing. Against her better judgment, she accepts and has him sign a confidentiality agreement. Reviewing the security camera footage, the shoe store boss discovers Tyler's boyish hijinks from the day before and fires Kayla. Unemployed with no way to pay the bridal fair entrance fee, Kayla is prepared to withdraw until her middle-class parents, believing wholeheartedly in their daughter, insist on covering the costs. Watching her father pull extra shifts during the holidays hits Kayla hard, making her more determined than ever to create the best presentation possible. A Bridezilla Christmas is a family-friendly romantic comedy centered on fun and games, flirtatious banter, and Kayla's desire to conquer her fear of public speaking. I have written a comical role for a female, one-day name star (70s). Full #romance script available. Thank you for your time and consideration. Best, Robyn Driscoll driscoll2020@gmail.com
