Part #4 of our chat with Harlequin Presents author Amanda Cinelli. LUV: Which of your novels do you wish a producer would adapt onto the screen. My favourite book that I've written is RETURNING TO CLAIM HIS HEIR and if any one of my books was to be brought to life on the screen, I think this would be it. It opens on a rainy day in Rio De Janeiro, with Nora Beckett, a heavily pregnant flame-haired beauty on the run from her dangerous father. She's grieving the tragic murder of the man she loved at the hands of her father's criminal gang, but determined to stay strong for her unborn child. Before she can make it to her bus stop, she is stopped in her tracks by a walking ghost. Duarte Avelar, the father of her unborn baby and the man she watched die in her arms months before...is alive and asking her questions as though she is a stranger. He appears to remember nothing of their whirlwind affair and is seeking answers but Nora knows that letting him get any closer to the truth will only result in more tragedy. She knows she needs to keep her baby a secret and run to save both of their lives, but before she can do that....her waters break! That is just chapter one! This would be an action-packed movie filled with second-chance romance and secret-baby angst, as well as a dollop of suspense. Top that all off with some breathtaking settings all around Brazil complete with a glorious alpha-hero grovel scene in the middle of the rainforest.
