Part #2 of our chat with author Amanda Cinelli LUV: Can you tell us about the appeal of writing for Harlequin Presents? Amanda: Harlequin Presents or Mills and Boon Modern as they are known here in Ireland, were among the first romances I ever picked up from my mother's pile of books in my early teens. I loved the exotic locations and the dark, powerful alpha heroes but most of all...I loved the ANGST. I was already quite a brooding, angsty teenager but when I read these books I would get swept away by the emotion and the drama, completely forgetting about reality for a few stolen hours. I was instantly hooked! My favourite ones were always the marriages of convenience where the hero vowed NEVER to touch the heroine, even though of course they had to share a bed for appearances. I would sit there breathless with anticipation as I devoured page after page of angst-tastic literary fireworks. Even now as a writer, there is no greater joy than writing two people sharing a bed and trying to resist that burning attraction between them. It's THE BEST. Now, I get to write these fantastically dramatic stories as an actual job and I feel pretty darn lucky.
