This week LUV is spotlighting author Melinda Valentine, who's an award-winning author of contemporary, suspense, and paranormal romance. LUV: Many people dream about being a writer. What is the one thing you wish you had known when you started your career? Are you a full-time writer or do you juggle a second profession? Melinda: Writing the story is just the beginning. Whether you’re traditionally published or self-published, there are so many things that come afterward. Marketing and finding ways to connect with new readers is never ending. Unfortunately, I do have a day job. I have to balance writing with that and spending time with my family. That means I complete projects slower than I would like to. Sometimes it’s challenging, but I love it.
