The first novel is Anatomy: A Love Story. These books are marketed as YA, but they are sophisticated, nuanced and extremely well written and performed. This book has everything! 📖 Historical fiction 👩🏻‍⚕️ Female trailblazers 💗 Second chance love affairs 👑 Royalty 🩺 Old-timey medicine 📝 Dead poets 🤒 Mysterious illness 🐱 Cute cats 💃 Fancy dress balls 😬 False imprisonment 🔺 Love triangles You MUST read or listen to the first book in order to appreciate this one as it picks up on a bit of a cliffhanger ending. Both books follow Hazel, who becomes the first female surgeon in the UK. In Immortality, she has to figure out what’s ailing Princess Charlotte. She leaves her home in Scotland and is quickly immersed in the pomp and circumstance of British high society. The audiobook is narrated by Mhairi Morrison and Tim Campbell. Morrison’s gorgeous Scottish accent will have you completely engrossed. It’s a fabulous listen that will have you excited to keep going back. #QOTD - Do you like accents in audiobooks?
