Part #2 of our chat with author @angelique.migliore.author LUV: How would you describe your voice, style, or brand to new readers? Angelique: First and foremost, I include a great deal of mirth into my writing. I cannot live without the valve release of stress that is laughing. Many readers have told me of laughing out loud while reading my stories, and that’s absolutely one of the biggest compliments I could receive—along with the crying, of course. I like to get to know my characters on a deep level and really explore what they love or hate and how they would react to any situation. I also take great care with naming them. Every one of my characters’ names is researched and chosen just for them. I do my best to write unique characters. My stories are fast-paced. No shade, but I promise I will not take five pages to describe the trees to you. Even if my characters are learning about each other for the first time, there is usually a lot going on. Life is kinetic. Or at least it should be if you’re living it to the fullest. It’s a small world, after all, and we have but a limited amount of time on this beautiful planet of ours to experience it firsthand. I also take my settings very seriously. I like to take my characters around the cities, not staying in one spot, because I want my readers to travel and experience the area with the characters. I recently received a message from a reader telling me that my settings are so vivid, they are like another character within the books. There might have been tears coming from my eyes, but you can’t prove anything.
