This week LUV is spotlighting Maisey Yates, who's a New York Times bestselling author of over one hundred romance novels. LUV: What is the best thing about being a romance writer? What is the most challenging thing about being a romance writer? Maisey: The best thing about being a romance writer is you know that your story is going to end hopefully, and you get to focus on that hope. Your characters might have challenges but they’re going to be all right, and that’s a guarantee we don’t always feel in life, so I enjoy writing it. The most challenging thing, after 155 books or so, is finding fresh ways to tell stories. Not always, often a book idea just comes to me, but sometimes I know I have to write a novella and it takes me a bit to think of a fun way to tell the story so that I don’t feel bored.
