Part #2 of our chat with Kensington Publishing editor, Elizabeth Trout. LUV: What is challenging about your role as an editor? Elizabeth: It’s challenging because there’s only so much we have the capacity to publish, and it’s really hard rejecting talented writers because we just can’t take everything. LUV: What might people find surprising about your job? Elizabeth: Despite what many people think, editors do not spend all day reading and editing :) A large portion of our job is similar to project management - making sure that all departments at our company have the proper information and materials pertaining to our books, not to mention our role as the liaison for our authors and their agents. And emails, so many emails!
