This week LUV's spotlighting assistant editor, Elizabeth Trout! Elizabeth edits and acquires books in a wide range of genres for Kensington Publishing, which include: romance, mystery and historical fiction. LUV: You are currently an editor with Kensington Books. Can you tell us about your publishing journey? What inspired you to become an editor. Elizabeth: Like many people who work in the book publishing industry, I’m a lifelong reader who grew up devouring novels. Working as an editor seemed to be the perfect fit. LUV: What do you like best about your job? Elizabeth: I love being able to make a first-time author (or any author!)’s dream come true by publishing their book, and I love that I get to work with some really wonderful authors and that part of my job is reading their incredible books.
