Part #4 of our chat with the team behind the Whoa!mance podcast LUV: What have been the biggest surprises or learnings along the way? Isabeau: Honestly? The books have surprised me at times, some of the stuff that listeners have found for us. Hummingbird by LaVyrle Spencer and The Flesh and the Devil by Teresa Denys being highlights in my mind. But as Morgan said above, we are really friends, and neither of us are small on opinions. That does lead to contention on the show, but there was a comment on one of our episodes where we’d disagreed that said ‘a masterclass in respectful disagreement’ and it surprised me. I love Morgan, she’s such a good friend–it didn’t really occur to me that there aren’t a lot of models for what disagreement can look and feel like in friendship. I think that was a real light bulb for me.
